Matthew B. Wendorff began working in the construction industry in 1998 as an apprentice. Leaving a lucrative career behind as a trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, Matthew started his first job working for tools as payment for his services.
In 1999, Matthew launched his own company, RenovationPro, Inc. while in graduate school. After completing his MBA degree in 2000, Matthew was ready to take on the challenges of the residential remodeling marketplace. The first year in business, sales had grossed nearly $30,000. In August 2006 Matthew opened a satellite office in Morristown, NJ in an effort to raise the level of professionalism that he provides to his customers. In December of 2006, Matthew changed the name of the company to RPI design build LLC to better reflect the expansion of his business into the design/building of custom homes and major additions/remodeling projects.
In an effort to continually strive toward excellence, Matthew has made a sincere effort in continuing his education through obtaining his CGR (Certified Graduate Remodeler) and CGB (Certified Graduate Builder) designations through NAHB.
Matthew has been published in The Journal of Light Construction for his work on the methods and procedures that should be followed in installing hardwood floors in kitchens and baths. He has contributed to articles that have appeared in Qualified Remodeler, has been featured in The Daily Record, Morristown This Week, and has appeared in publications such as Professional Remodeler and Popular Mechanics. He is an experienced builder with hands-on knowledge of all aspects of building. He has studied under all of the disciplines and can tackle any task at the highest level of quality workmanship. Not only has his work appeared on the Today show, he has also become a regular contributer and contractor host on NBC’s Open House NYC and George to the Rescue.
